U2 to cover 'Money Money Money'?

Here is a weird one... U2  have announced a tie up with RIM for their upcoming tour... After the old U2 iPods and the Product RED iPods which donate cash to Bono's charity, he is now extolling virtues of RIM and the Blackberry... Wonder if RIM will do a charity version too? The fact U2's investments include a fairly big shareholding in Palm so will they worry about this if their sponsorship with RIM hits Palm's share price??? The comment about 'Research in Motion is going to give us what Apple wouldn't' means what... more cash?? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20090403.wrcoverrim04/BNStory/Technology/home

Poor Lauren!

iCreate magazine have a good piece on the latest Microsoft Ad, maybe Redmond should start selling T-Shirts using 'I'm not cool enough to be a mac person' from the Ad! http://blog.icreatemagazine.com/

Wacom Cintiq or not Cintiq...

Been longing for a Wacom Cintiq 21UX since playing with one at VizThink 08... surprise, surprise, it the cost which has put the purchase off so far. Now I really really want to get one, they recently hiked the already huge price up by a couple of hundred £s! Weird thing is, they are nightmare to get hold of, there are some around but are either even more expensive than RRP or suspiciously reduced which may mean grey imports? After 12WX release and now the Intuos 4 I am thinking an upgrade to 21UX may be in offing as LCD technology has also improved since it was launched and Wacom have updated the styling on recent models... how sick would I be if I have finally just laid out cash to have a much improved model appear!? Might just hang off a bit yet...

U2 Tour Prices

Strange quote from U2's manager... I had login for Horizon presale and looked like about half of tickets were £150 (+£13.50), standing tickets £55 (+£6) and cheapest tickets £30 (+£3.50). Are the cheaper tickets outside the stadium? U2 manager Paul McGuinness said: "U2 has always been at their best when surrounded by their audience - this staging takes a giant leap forward. "With 85 per cent of the tickets priced at less than £86, general admission floor tickets at £49 and at least 10,000 tickets at every venue costing around £27, we have worked hard to ensure U2 fans can purchase a great-priced ticket with a guaranteed great view."
